Resumo:In a world increasingly dependent on technologies at the nanoscale, the study of physico-chemical properties of nanoestrutures are very important. For this reason, this work is devoted to the study, by Raman spectroscopy and electron microscopy, of the effect caused by the addition of ethyl alcohol during the preparation of Ag nanoparticles. The structural characterization by X-ray diffraction pointed to the formation of Ag nanocrystals, while transmission electron microscopy images showed the presence of crystalline nanoparticles surrounded by an amorphous material. After analyzing the Raman spectrum we have found characteristic bands that are ascribed to organic functional groups, we have proposed a mechanism for the formation of this amorphous material.
