| Resumo: | This work deals with the premise that digital technologies are increasingly playing a prominent role in various areas of knowledge, including document management and archivology in the field of Information Science. Its main objective is to discuss in the light of the scientific literature of the area, the possibilities and impacts of digital technologies in archival environments. Specifically, the work aims to indicate concepts and importance of Information Security, Document Management, regarding the organization and preservation of documents as well as Electronic Document Management (GED) and also discuss which digital tools are used in this context, their advantages and disadvantages. The methodology employed was bibliographic research. A bibliographic survey was made in information sources such as scientific articles, books, databases and documents related to the treated subjects. It was found that the application and use of digital technological tools, makes it possible to promote greater information security and enhances the organization of archival documents, making information accessible for much longer, while also maintaining its authenticity, thus contributing to fulfilling their role. information units that is the socialization of information with the potential to generate knowledge and social, political and economic evolution. |
