Resumo:In oil fields where there are thousands of oil wells and resources are scarce to analyze operating conditions of each one, even with the production declining naturally, it is possible to exist some wells with a flow below their potential, this difference is denominated loss. The occurrence of wells with loss indicates that there is still oil to be recovered from the reservoir, and consequently, an opportunity to increase production. Some reasons that lead a well to produce below its potential are: when the well is not capable to keep up with the potential increase caused by the application of a secondary recovery method in the reservoir or when there is an inefficiency in the artificial lift system. In the last case, by using simple interventions, it is possible to restore or improve the operational conditions of the wells and increase production. Therefore, this work proposes a methodology to be adopted in field operations that uses simple and low-cost interventions in lifting systems of wells with loss, which it is capable to increase production. The detection of these wells was performed with the aid of a computational tool recently developed denominated Detector de Perdas, that identifies the Sucker Rod Pumping wells monitored by the automation system, with higher chances of loss due to some problem in artificial lift system. The methodology was applied in a number of fields located at the Potiguar Basin during eight months. Among hundreds of wells screened, a total of 30 suffered interventions in the artificial lift system. The results obtained demonstrated great efficiency of the methodology developed and a significant increase in the oil production of these fields.
