Resumo:This study aims to reflect on the sociocultural effects of soccer practice for girls who participates in the Second Time Forces in Sports Program (PROFESP), by analyzing the questionnaire and interview's answers with the students. In this research, there were 6 (six) participants, all girls, aged between 13 (thirteen) and 18 (eighteen) years, old who have been in the program for at least 2 (two) years. Methodologically, it is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. As a result, it was seen that soccer is a sociocultural phenomenon of great influence on the students' lives, capable of causing significant changes regarding their social ties, the places they frequent and their relationship with their families, as well as prejudice discourses that permeate girls' soccer practice were also identified.
