Resumo: | The present end-of-course paper belongs to the list of studies done about the importance
of monitoring as an adjunct in academic training, aiming to analyze its implications for
initial teacher training, based on the experiences in the Monitoring Project in Didactics,
Research Methodology, Media, Leisure and Health Education. The work aims to
contribute to the academic evolution of the Degree Course in Physical Education. The
research method used was documental research, with a qualitative approach, where the
procedures used to develop the research were documental and bibliographic review,
with observation techniques, document analysis, and bibliographic review. The present
study aims to discuss and investigate the contributions of the Mentoring Project in the
process of initial formation of the student graduating in Physical Education - Licensing
at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN. The data shows a
quantitative differentiation of Tutoring Projects between the Department of Physical
Education - DEF and the courses of the Center of Health Sciences - CCS, resulting in a
gap within the Degree Course in Physical Education. The monitoring as a component of
the initial formation of the physical education undergraduate student can be an
important tool given the pedagogical practices, the exchange of knowledge between the
student monitor and the supervising teacher, and by providing the praxis of higher
education teaching. Monitoring fulfills its mission of bringing the undergraduate student
closer to his potential future field of action. |
