Resumo: | Actinic cheilitis (AC) constitutes a potentially malignant inflammatory condi-tion which progression may result in the development of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) lip. Mainly affects the lower lip and is more common in middle-aged or elderly male, clear skin and with occupations that require sun exposure. Many professionals find it difficult to identify the clinical signs of QA which leads to the progress of a CEC, as well as in choosing the ideal area for a biopsy. This difficulty is mainly due to the variety of clinical changes that can be observed in AC. |
