The National Policy on Health Promotion (2006), seeks to put into
practice the principles of SUS and has as one of its goals the expansion of autonomy
and responsibility of individuals and society through health education. From the
perspective of making the individual capable of propagating healthy habits highlights
the role of parents in the oral health care of their children. So the targeted educational
strategies, in particular, mothers and pregnant women are constituted as fundamental
to the empowerment of these clients. The child in infancy and childhood has certain
morphological features that the layman's eyes are classified as diseases and
malformations, however, are characterized as a natural condition and transient, typical
of its development, is fundamental to socialize this knowledge. OBJECTIVE: The aim
was to identify the knowledge and practices Mother's Planalto neighborhood, on oral
health in infancy and childhood. METHODS: This is a qualitative research aimed at 10
women, mothers of children under seven years old, indexed the Basic Unit of the
Presidential Health. The sample was intentional, where women were invited to
participate in the study spontaneously. Interviews were conducted using a semistructured
script, all of which were recorded. After a meticulous reading of the material,
they identified the senses nucleus and continued with the construction of categories
that were analyzed based on the content analysis technique proposed by Minayo.
RESULTS: The results show that the mothers' knowledge about oral health in infancy
and childhood is limited, causing surprise to the researcher as they are all
accompanied by the Family Health Strategy. CONCLUSIONS: It is necessary to
analyze the actions and educational strategies adopted by the oral health team of
ESF, in order to identify the limits and difficulties aiming for a redirection of such
actions so that mothers and pregnant women can develop their autonomy when it
comes to your health oral and their children. |

A Política Nacional de Promoção da Saúde (2006), busca por em prática os princípios do SUS e tem como um de seus objetivos a ampliação da autonomia e corresponsabilidade de sujeitos e coletividade por meio da educação em saúde. Na perspectiva de tornar o sujeito capaz de propagar hábitos saudáveis destaca-se o papel dos pais no cuidado à saúde bucal de seus filhos. Assim as estratégias educativas direcionadas, em especial, às mães se constituem como fundamentais para o empoderamento dessa clientela. A criança na primeira e segunda infância apresenta determinados aspectos morfológicos que ao olhar do leigo são classificados como doenças e más formações, entretanto, caracterizam-se como uma condição natural e transitória, própria do seu desenvolvimento, sendo fundamental socializar esse conhecimento. OBJETIVO: O objetivo foi conhecer os saberes e práticas das mães do bairro Planalto, sobre a saúde bucal na primeira e segunda infância. MÉTODOS: Trata-se uma pesquisa qualitativa direcionada a 10 mulheres, mães de crianças de até sete anos de idade, adstritas à Unidade de Saúde da Família do Planalto. A amostra foi do tipo intencional, onde as mulheres foram convidadas a participar da pesquisa espontaneamente.
