Resumo:Introduction: The oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC) is the most prevalent oral cancer, has an aggressive behavior and your risk assentment is not clear. Objective: realize a histomorphologic study correlating two malignances gradations with clinical parameters and survival of the patients in the sample. Materials and methods: was analyzed the histological model risk proposed by Brandwein-Gensler et al. (2005) – who investigate invasion pattern, lymphocytic response and perineural invasion – and the BD model, suggested by Almangush et al. (2014) – that considers depth of invasion and tummor buddies on the “front of invasion”. After these analyzes was assigned scores of risk (low, intermediate or high risk) to the 80 cases of the sample (obtained on Dr. Luiz Antonio Hospital) with a minimum follow up of 5 years. Results: At Brandwein-Gensler analyze, 38,8% obtained high risk; 61% of recurrences (p = 0,740) and 54% of deaths (p = 0,435) was assigned with intermediate risk of the disease. The BD analyze showed high risk on 68,8% of the cases; 72% of recurrences (p = 0,578) and 84% of deaths cases (p = 0,053) obtained high risk. Conclusions: It’s suggested a tendency of the BD model on being correlated with parameters that has an important prognostic value.
