| Resumo: | This study aimed to draw the profile of use biomodels in CTBMF service of the Department of Dentistry of UFRN and compares it to the literature. The survey was conducted in the Surgery and Traumatology department of the institution.The sample consisted of 24 selected medical records upon request for production of prototypes by the dentists,in the period between 2012 and 2015.It was observed that the profile of men over 30 years, with no specific indications regarding the etiology and anatomical location. Conclusion: the use of biomodels at the university portrays a low number of requests when faced with the literature, and the controversial use of biomodels with surgical goal of implant dentistry. But other characteristics are in line with other similar surveys. |
