Resumo:Introduction: The health education activities are one of the main devices to enable health promotion must be carried out according to local needs and community demand, and developed through games, lectures, slides, conversation circles clearly and accurately, to facilitate understanding. Objective: To evaluate the impact of interventions carried out by the extension project "Integral Attention to Women's Health: health promotion, disease prevention and health education" to children and teenagers in Santa Cruz / RN. Methodology: We developed an exploratory and analytical study with a quantitative approach, in Living Services and Strengthening Linkages, located in the Paradise neighborhood, municipality of Santa Cruz, Rio Grande do Norte. The sample was not probabilistic for convenience, resulting in 45 subjects who participated in the extension project in the year 2014. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire with objective questions. The gathering took place in the morning and evening shifts, at times when children and adolescents were available. Data analysis was performed using the statistical package SPSS, version 20.0, through which were obtained absolute and relative frequency, mean, median and standard deviation. Data were presented in tables and discussed based on the literature. Results: The study included 45 adolescent females, with a mean age of 12.36 years, median 12 years and standard deviation of 2.337 years. All participants said they liked to participate in the extension project in 2014 (n = 45, 100%), and all had the desire to come back to participate in 2015 (n = 45, 100%). Conclusion: The educational health activities carried out by the extension project in 2014 provided for the participants learning moments and (self) knowledge, and has attracted the interest of taking care of their health, contributing to the intellectual and personal development of participants.
