There are necessary Scientific investigations referring to the resolutive potential about which motives ensure increased with cesarean section rates. Thus, this study aims to analyze pertinent informations related to the factors that influence the increase of cesarean sections. It's about an integrative systematic review study, by database search in Capes Periodical Portal, from April 2014 to September 2019. For the search we used the Keywords: Choice and cesarean section. Whith these descriptors the criterion “date of publication: the last five years” was applied. It was found, after crossing descriptors, a final sample with eleven (11) publications presenting relevant aspects on the subject. However, there are few studies, in the current context, that analyze the practice of C-section in Brazil. Among the found studies, it is perceived that the influence of the doctor and the educational level of women interfere in their choice for cesarean section. Therefore is possible to highlight the need to reflect about the service rendered to women during pregnancy, birthing process and childbirth. São necessárias investigações científicas referentes ao potencial resolutivo acerca de quais motivos asseguram o aumento nos índices do parto cesáreo. Desta forma, este estudo tem por objetivo analisar informações pertinentes aos fatores que influenciam no aumento das cesarianas. Trata-se de um estudo de revisão sistemática integrativa, através da busca de dados no Portal Periódicos Capes, no período de abril de 2014 a setembro de 2019. Para a busca foram utilizados os descritores: Escolha and cesárea. Com estes descritores foi aplicado o critério “data de publicação: os últimos cinco anos”. Foi encontrada, após cruzamento de descritores, uma amostragem final com onze (11) publicações que apresentam aspectos relevantes sobre o assunto. No entanto, existem poucos estudos, no contexto atual que analisem a prática da cesariana no Brasil. Entre os estudos encontrados, percebe-se que a influência do médico e o grau de escolaridade da mulher interferem na escolha pela cesárea.
