| Resumo: | This undergraduate thesis has the intencion of analyse how the gender relacionships occur in the TV series Friends and whether this content influences the public in terms of feminist and patriarchal practices. It is known that the fight against patriarchy, iniciated decades ago, has not been yet won, as gender equality has not been achieved, however advences has happen in severals areas, including the representation of feminism and feminine gender on media. The methodology of this work involved bibliographical research of papers, books, articles published in newspapers, magazines and institutes, guidelines of ABNT norms, reports and dictionaries, in addition to documentary research of audiovisual material consisting of series and films that raise reflections relevant to gender relations, including Friends, which is the matter of this research.
In-depth interviews were also conducted with women who have already watched the series so that, through this methodology, with a qualitative analysis approach, we can understand if there is an influence in this audience caused by ideologies of machismo and feminism possibly presents in the serie.. It was possible, from this work, to answer questions and hypotheses from the beginning of the research, such as the coexistence of machismo and feminism in the series - as well as the conflict of these ideologies in the series. In addition, it was discovered that the influence exerted by the series on spectators is much more due to their critical eye then to the number of episodes watched. . This work intend to create content about feminism, its historicity and conquers, and to debate chauvinism and patriarchy, as their problematics caused in women and man. |
