Descrição
Resumo:The use of nanolatex has received attention in recent years in the textile area, due to its properties, such as a smaller particle size, transparency, high surface area, and consequently high adsorption power, high surface charge, by the strong presence of functional groups on the surface, and possibility of surface functionalization of the dispersed polymer particles. Normally, the synthesis of particles smaller than 50 nm uses high concentrations of surfactants to allow a greater stabilization of these nanoparticles in the medium. However, the use of high concentrations of surfactants leads to some problems, such as the formation of foams, which are harmful to some processes of finishing of the fibers as the process of functionalization of the textile materials. Therefore, the objective of this work was the synthesis of nanolatexes with particle sizes smaller than 50 nm using low surfactant contents for posterior application in textiles.
