The analysis of Pauline Baynes's illustrations becomes relevant in order to contribute to the reality of the richness of content that a deeper look at an image can generate. O presente trabalho consiste em uma análise das ilustrações da artista Pauline Baynes, encontradas nas capas dos sete livros das Crônicas de Nárnia. O objetivo traçado foi o de analisar de maneira mais profunda do que um simples ver, as ilustrações escolhidas. Para isto, o trabalho se fundamentou em uma pesquisa acerca do conteúdo escrito no qual se baseou a ilustração, no trajeto artístico da ilustradora, como também nos baseamos nos elementos visuais propostos por Dondis (1997), a fim de extrair aspectos mais sutis da obra.
