| Resumo: | This research aims to present synthwave as a new musical genre and aesthetic, seeking it’s
influences and focusing particularly in its subgenre, darksynth. This research was made through
bibliographic and iconographic review taken from internet. Due to it’s novelty and lack of
academic material towards this subject until now; As a project, this research has as it’s goal to
set a basis for the artistic production, in which consists of illustrations and it’s respective
creative processes, based on the album ‘Uncanny Valley’, from the artist Perturbator – chosen
for bringing an blend between sound and aesthetic of blackmetal and synthwave – as a means
of serving as a basis for other artists should them explore this aesthetic in the future. |
