Resumo:The present academic work proposes to analyse the economic order in the Brazilian Constitutions of the developmental period, as well as the way this constitutional chapter served as a guide for the actions of the Brazilian State during the period from 1934 to 1979. For that, a review of part of the relevant literature was carried out, in order to observe the political and economic phenomena that took place over the period, as well as the behavior of the Brazilian State in relation to these. The study of economic thought throughout the republican period helps to understand the measures and duties that the State would have in accordance with the economic order, both in relation to industrialization, the exploitation of natural resources, the legislation labor and several other relevant topics. The developmental period was marked by changes in the country's productive structure. However, there were times when industrialization occurred concurrently with restrictions on freedoms, wage flattening and income concentration Furthermore, it is necessary to observe the political ruptures that occurred and how they caused new norms to come into force through a new Constitution, which in turn, exhibits the influences of the political moment, whether dictatorial or democratic. Finally, it is clear that the Constitutions were a guide, but the actions of different conditions were decisive the effective trajectory of the national development.
