Resumo:Shrimp farming is a part of aquaculture that refers to the creation of crustaceans, with shrimp being the main one. It has become very relevant in recent years, especially in Brazil, where it produced 52,100 tonnes of crustacean only in 2016 (FAO, 2018). Although the context is quite promising, a problem has plagued farms around the world. White spot disease, caused by the white spot syndrome virus, is the most devastating in the history of shrimp farming. Unfortunately it has no cure, worldwide producers have tried to live with it by implementing measures to improve management and thus prevent the onset of the disease. However, not all producers have easy access to information or to experts in the field. In this context, this work approaches the use of a specialized system that uses fuzzy logic to assist in decision making regarding the best management practices of shrimp to control the disease. As an evaluation, two simulations were made in the system, one in which the farmer does not follow almost any good prawn breeding practice and another simulating the case of a farmer who follows almost all recommendations. The results of the simulations were satisfactory for the proposed objective and according to the analysis of specialists of the area their performance was acceptable.
