Resumo:One of the environments that has increasingly been part of the child's life, from very early on, concerns the nursery of Creche. As a result, there is growing concern among society at large and the scientific community to understand the role of this context in the development of children. In this sense, this monograph seeks to answer: what are the contributions of the nursery to the development of the child in the nursery? The actions that led the organized research to respond to this problematization part of the definition of the following objectives: To investigate the nursery in the nursery and to analyze the contributions of the nursery to the development of the child. For this, a survey was conducted in a nursery of the Municipal Center for Child Education Joaquim Lopes Piccolo, located in the city of Cruzeta-RN. With this, a qualitative approach of ethnographic type was researched with characteristics of a case study; as a research tool participant observation and records of data and reflections constructed in the course of the research in the field notebook were used. As a theoretical basis studies were made in Vygotsky (2007); Barbosa (2010), Horn (2004), Kramer (2003), Ostetto (2008), among other scholars of childhood and Child Education. As well as, in official documents, among them: the LDB (BRAZIL, 1996); the UNSCR (BRAZIL, 1998); DCNEI (BRAZIL, 2010); BNCC (BRAZIL, 2018). With the study it was possible to realize that there is no recognition of the potential of children in the nursery environment of Creche, therefore, there is a need to contemplate experiences that explore different spaces of the institution of Child Education from a planned and qualified pedagogical practice that promotes the integral development of children in this context. In this way, it is hoped that this study will promote reflections on the work carried out in the institutions that serve children in the nursery, so that it will enable a more sensitive look of the professionals who work in this environment, in order to contribute to think the space, time, materials and integral development of children.
