description The study on the partnership between family and school aims to highlight the importance of this in the child's teaching and learning process, considering that, initially, it is in these environments that they have their first social contacts. The research intends to highlight the importance of an adequate relationship between the family and the school, aiming to guarantee a collaborative education, so that, with this, there is a qualitative learning by the children. More specifically, it aims to understand the importance of the family's role in its formation, as a social being; discuss the importance of the contact that parents / guardians have with the school for school performance; and analyze the importance of the partnership between parents / guardians and the school in their social and cognitive development. For this, we consider the following questions: do children whose parents and / or guardians have more contact with the school have a better school performance?; Is the interaction between the family and the school essential for a better educational and social development of the child? The research is of a qualitative and interpretative nature, which uses bibliographic research and questionnaires as methodological instruments. As for the theoretical aspects, the research dialogues with studies by Freire (1966), Piaget (1977), Cury (2010), Pádua (2010), Libâneo (1990), among others. From what has been researched and analyzed, it is noticeable that there is an effort on both sides (parents and school) for the occurrence of this interaction, although it is still a process under construction, and that, through this partnership, children have shown a better performance in their social and cognitive development.

O estudo sobre a parceria entre família e escola visa salientar a importância desta no processo de ensino e aprendizagem da criança, considerando que, inicialmente, são nesses ambientes que elas têm seus primeiros contatos sociais. A pesquisa pretende evidenciar a importância de uma relação adequada entre a família e a escola, visando garantir assim uma educação colaborativa, para que, com isso, ocorra uma aprendizagem qualitativa, por parte das crianças. Mais especificamente, objetiva compreender a importância do papel da família na formação desta, como ser social; discutir a importância do contato que os pais/responsáveis têm com a escola para o desempenho escolar; e analisar sobre a importância da parceria entre pais/responsáveis e escola no desenvolvimento social e cognitivo das mesmas. Para isso, consideramos os seguintes questionamentos: crianças que os pais e/ou responsáveis têm mais contato com a escola possuem um melhor desempenho escolar?; A interação entre a família e a escola é essencial para um melhor desenvolvimento educacional e social da criança? A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa e interpretativa, que se utiliza de pesquisa bibliográfica e questionários como instrumentos metodológicos. Quanto aos aspectos teóricos, a pesquisa dialoga com estudos de Freire (1966), Piaget (1977), Cury (2010), Pádua (2010), Libâneo (1990), entre outros.
