| Resumo: | This project concerns the appreciation of the historical cultural heritage through tourism activities with the purpose of reframing the Ribeira neighborhood. The perspectives of SisTur and SWOT Matrix were the methods adopted to perform the action plan diagnosis. In addition, site visits, interviews with residents and professionals working in the area, primary and secondary data collection were used. Propositions include displaying commemorative plaques for the heritage of the Ribeira neighborhood, as well as encouraging heritage education in elementary schools in order to strengthen cultural ties and revive the history of the place. The path towards implemention of the project aims at the government as well as partners. The implementation of this project is expected to contribute to the revitalization of the Ribeira neighborhood by reframing spaces for tourism, raising awareness and valuing the city's cultural heritage. |
