Resumo: | The acquisition of new materials by Federal Institutions of Higher Education has made them large consumers of goods and natural resources, which contributes to greater generations of solid waste. In this context, it is inserted the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, currently considered a great generator of waste, and that presents the need to improve the disposal of these materials in order to minimize the environmental damage by them Caused. These damages can be even more notorious when the materials have hazardous characteristics, as is the case of air conditioning equipment, which UFRN does not possess practices of a correct management for this type of residue. Thus, this work consists of a case study in the patrimony sector of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, with a focus on the procedures pertinent to the demaking of assets of the mobile asset, in order to improve the management and management of Equipment discarded in the sector. Thus, using a bibliographic, documental and field analysis, a quantitative research was developed complemented by a qualitative approach, through on-site visits and interviews with an unstructured approach, which opportunized Diagnose the procedures for disposing and managing the waste of Ares-conditioners, within the institution. The results showed that UFRN currently has some inadequate practices, since air conditioners are transported and stored incorrectly, and waste disposal does not have a focus on re-use and reuse measures. Therefore, a proposal for an operational protocol for the disposal of goods and an internal plan for the management of air-conditioning equipment was developed in order to standardize and regulate the operational procedures of the waste and Management of these wastes. It is concluded that it is necessary to prioritize and to ensure strategic measures that foster the conduct of environmental preservation and sustainable development practices, which primarily aim at reutilization and reuse. |
