In this sense, environmental education can be used as a tool aiming at guiding society regarding the disposal and proper management of waste considered hazardous to the environment. Therefore, the objective of this work was to identify the level of knowledge of members of the university community about the correct management of waste whose reverse logistics is mandatory, and based on the results, propose environmental education actions. The evaluation was made through the online questionnaire analysis. The individuals analyzed were grouped according to the link they have with the university, be it students, teachers, technical administrative servers and outsourced. After analyzing the data, it was observed that 56.6% of the respondents had no knowledge about reverse logistics, and almost half of them discarded residues such as batteries, batteries and electronic components in the common waste. In view of the results and the priority groups, it is concluded that it is necessary to plan different types of environmental education actions such as lectures and extension actions for students and outsourced employees, aiming at the development of a critical reflection and skills needed for the solution problems with reverse logistics waste management.
