| Resumo: | In the Environmental Impact Assessment, there is the development of Environmental Impact Studies and their respective Environmental Impact Reports, which are presented to the population that will discuss them in public hearings, being an integral part of the licensing process of certain works selected by legislation whose impact is recognized. Bearing in mind the above and driven by concern about population growth in urban centers and the negative consequences that the unplanned use and occupation of urban land bring to the lives of citizens, the present work was developed. The main objective was conducting a product analysis of the Environmental Impact Assessment, which are the Environmental Impact Study and the Environmental Impact Report (EIS/EIR) of condominium projects in the area of environmental protection of the Pitimbu river, in the municipalities of Natal and Parnamirim, Rio Grande do Norte, in order to highlight the concerns that were placed on the agenda in the construction of the units and to provide a basis for future EIS/EIR, adding more quality to the products. In addition, most of the reports were considered satisfactory in view of the nature of the developments, the urbanization of the area and the technologies available to mitigate the impacts. |
