| Resumo: | Ribeira neighborhood, in Natal/RN, is part of the initial growth nucleus of the city, thus being classified as a Special Historical Protection Zone (ZEPH), as well as containing part of the Polygonal of Protection of Historic Building of the city, defined by IPHAN. However, it succumbed to the problem of the emptying of traditional centers - especially by housing use - due to the spreading of the city, largely a consequence to a new style of living. Besides that, we have in vogue the discussion about the unsustainability of cities, which increasingly causes pollution, traffic and waterproofing of the soil with new constructions. In this perspective, it is approached as a sustainable initiative to face the current adversities of the cities the Integrated Urban Rehabilitation of existing groups, which assumes as principles the urban, economic and social local development, preserving their identity (CARTA DE LISBOA, 1995). In addition, the intervention will be guided by the principles of Permaculture, a design methodology that aims to establish permanent communities - in balance with the environment, based on three etics: caring for the people, caring for the earth and sharing resources. Thus, taking into account the Word of the Inhabitant (ANDRADE E ANDRADE, 2015), in order to resume the vitality of the neighborhood, it aims to develop a proposal for the Integrated Rehabilitation of a fraction of Ribeira, proposing the reuse of empty or underutilized buildings, focusing on daily and basic necessities; the requalification of this street and its crossings, and the preliminary study of a Residential Village - reuse of emblematic buildings of the area. |
