Resumo:This work is a proposal of projects for the requalification of the urban grid of the Federal Uni-versity of Rio Grande do Norte. The model of development of highways spread throughout the world fomented car culture in cities. This way of thinking about urban planning is not different on the UFRN Campus, where pedestrians and cyclists are left in the background in various passag-es and accessibility is not guaranteed for everyone; at the same time, parking lots are created and car roads are refurbished. Objectifying the improvement of the experience of the vulnerable groups (pedestrians and cyclists), and based on Bradshaw’s (1991) theoretical and methodologi-cal reference, as well as on Spatial Syntax from Hillier and Hanson (1984), an evaluation of mor-phological aspects in the Campus, equality the construction of axial modeling of the car’s route, cyclists and pedestrians in their current and official routes and simulations of new routes (or pos-sible connections between existing ones). The application of these concepts allowed a better understanding of the existing problems in the urban grid and the results of the proposed simula-tions contributed with the construction of routes compatible with the needs of this vulnerable group, thus this way to the guidelines.
