| Resumo: | Past and present join the bridge of Igapó that brings with it the controversy of having been constructed as the symbol of modernity and integration, and nowadays is scrapping and marks an axis of segregation in the city. This work recognizes this historical object as a structuring element of the territory and localities. It seeks in history its relevance to the consolidation of the city and identifies the construction of a place by the residents of Rio Potengi Street, located in one of the headwaters of the bridge. In this way, the research is justified by bringing the vision of the residents of Rua Rio Potengi to the conservation of that good. Contributing to the discussion through a proposal of urban intervention in the Igapó bridge and its surroundings that add the territory to the place, giving opportunity to the residentes express their opinion and reflect on their place. |
