Resumo:This work introduces a preliminary sustainable landscape design developed for a low impact environment house in Northeast of Brazil, in coastal area, in Natal-RN. A ecosystem is configured in order to minimize the demands and problems, contributing to the benefits of peoples, society and environment, compatible with the Habitação Tropical de Energia Zero - HabTE0´s goals. Parameters and criteria were systematized to qualify and qualify the sustainable landscape issues, such as site, users’ preference, architectural design, service systems compatibility, legal restrictions, environmental recommendations, bioclimatic strategies – shading, ventilation, and surface temperature -, flows, pedestrian flows and visual fields. The method emphasized more the procedure development than the preliminary design assessments due to the obstacles related to the native plants information and design modelling. Several restrictions were identified in the conceptual process, solved systemically. The computational resources analyses contribution was confirmed, despite limitations. The lack of sustainable parameters attendance remains the main obstacle to the landscape design development, however they can be integrated to the procedures in future works.
