Description
Summary:The “Bom dia, Jacó” is an urban plan of ideas, developed for and with Jacó Community – an informal settlement, it is located on an urban slope surface, defined as "APP - Permanent Preservation Area". The community is inserted in a neighborhood (Rocas – Natal/RN) whose predatory urbanization of the proximities is a threat to the permanence of the 100 families that live more than 40 years, and calls into question the legitimate Right to the City of these people. The project, which was developed over 1 year by means of a participatory process with dwellers, is an important tool for coping with public resettlement policies coupled with the pressure of the real estate market, aimed at removing people from the place under the pretext of the area being mapped the “at risk”. However, the present Final Graduation Work focused on doing a deep analysis and proposing solutions to the urban problems through a safety qualification perspective, and it shows how it is possible to guarantee the stay of approximately 75% of the residences in the place, through an urban plan that contemplates the requalification of the public spaces, the recovery of infrastructure and the implementation of new habitations in the area for new families.
