Resumo: | Based on references of student housing projects, as well as bibliography about the subject, a research was developed by elaboration of a dwell building for university students, in the neighborhood of Capim Macio, South of Natal. Currently some programs offered by the Government encourage the entry of young people to higher education in several colleges and universities spread throughout the country, which consequently promotes a displacement of people by the relocation of students to other regions. For this reason, the demand for housing and university rooms has increased during the last years. This situation is very common in countries of Europe and North America, mainly in the United States, where the universities, in large majority, provide accommodation to the students, which shows the awareness and sensibility for the new students. In Brazil, according to data from the IBGE, the Northern and Northeast regions of the country have the fewest rates of spaces to accommodate young people in this situation, often with low conditions to maintain themselves while keep studying. For this reason, the work to be developed will deal with the university student residence, allied to other uses, basing the architectural aspects on the conceptual "triad": to dwell, to live and to work in the same space. The project will have a mixed use, developed through an evaluation of students' most frequent needs and desires, so that the architectural building proposal may corresponds to the increasing demand for this type of equipment in Natal. |
