Resumo:This undergraduate final work elaborates about the social worker labor conditions under the recent configurations of jobs around the world and the growing capitalist system. My experience during my mandatory internship at Conselho Regional de Serviço Social da 14ª Região incited reflections about this subject based on the demands, especially in the guidance and inspection sector. The purpose of this term paper is to analyze the particularities of the working conditions of social workers in Rio Grande do Norte state in Brazil, considering the present-days developments in capital that impacts on world jobs. This final paper uses a qualitative research approach with a bibliographic and documentary methods as well as the historical dialectical materialism. I concluded by affirming that the new work-related configurations in this capitalist society directly affect the performance of social workers in their occupational spaces, since these professionals feel compelled to adapt to the reality as a result of permanent challenges to their professional performance. Hence, it is necessary to highlight the actions of the representative councils of the Social Service, for example the CRESS/RN's role in defending the profession and the professional practices in order to minimize these challenges.
