In this way, the discussion runs not only through the current conjuncture, but through an analysis of biblical passages that attribute to women a place in social and labor division, through the way it is still seen today and as seen in the job market. The methodology used was based on a bibliographical review, bringing the positions of authors who discuss this subject, having as an analysis perspective the critical dialectical method that allows the understanding of the phenomenon as a whole. Therefore, one can observe the difficulties that still permeate the image of women in society and the consequences of this fact especially for their work. Este trabalho teve como objetivos discutir sobre a posição da mulher na divisão sexual do trabalho, fazendo uma análise entre as posições impostas sobre homens e mulheres na sociedade e fazendo uma explanação sobre como se deu essa divisão e as consequências dela. Dessa forma, a discussão perpassa não só pela conjuntura atual, mas por toda uma análise de passagens bíblicas que atribuem à mulher um lugar na divisão social e do trabalho, passando por textos que analisam a forma como a mesma ainda é vista nos dias atuais e como é vista no mercado de trabalho. A metodologia utilizada foi baseada em revisão bibliográfica, trazendo posicionamentos de autores que discutem tal temática, tendo como perspectiva de análise o método crítico dialético que possibilita a compreensão do fenômeno como um todo.
