Results: The groups on average did not show significant differences in the language subtest and the same pattern was observed in the analysis of the test items. Conclusion: preterm and full-term children did not present significant differences when compared in the language subtest of the Bayley III instrument, and in the analysis of the test items, it did not show specific language difficulties for any of the groups.
