Resumo: | Objective: To identifly the effect of the time of using the flexible resonance tube,
deeply immersed in the water column, on the acoustic parameters of the singers voice.
Methodology: This is a prospective, longitudinal, uncontrolled study, conducted with
13 singers of both sexes, without vocal complaints, aged between 21 and 46 years. All
subjects performed the exercise with the flexible resonance tube immersed deep in the
water column for a total of seven minutes. Voice recording was performed, requesting
the emission of the sustained vowel / a / before the beginning of the exercise and after
one, three, five and seven minutes of its performance. For recording and vocal acoustic
analysis, the PRAAT 6.0.37 program was used. The extracted acoustic parameters
were: fundamental frequency (fo) jitter, shimmer, Harmonic Noise Ratio (NHR) and
Soft Cepstral Peak Prominence (CPPS).Results: It was observed that there was no
difference in any of the acoustic parameters extracted before and after performing the
vocal exercise, regardless of its duration. Conclusion: The exercise with a flexible
tube immersed deeply in the water does not change the acoustic parameters of the
singers' voice, regardless of the time of performance. Given this, it is not
contraindicated to perform this exercise, with this dose, for the population of singers. |
