Resumo:Objective: To identify the performance time effect of using the flexible resonance tube, deeply immersed in the water column, on self-perception on singers’ voice. Methodology: This is an uncontrolled exploratory study, conducted with the participation of 16 singers without vocal complaints, aged between 21 and 46 years, being eight men and eight women. All subjects performed the exercise for a total of seven minutes with pause for self-assessment after one, three, five and seven minutes, answering if they percived improvement, worsening or did not notice difference on their voice. Results: It was observed that after all moments of the exercise, most individuals reported vocal improvement. In the first minute 93.75% of participants reported improvement in vocal quality, in the third minute and in the fifth only one individual reported vocal deterioration. In the seventh minute, 68.75% of the singers reported improvement and 31.25% of the participants reported no difference in vocal quality. Conclusion: Exercise with flexible resonance tube, deep immersed in water, has positive effects on self-perception of singers until seven minutes.
