Method: The method adopted for the research was a descriptive review of the last ten years (2009-2019), with an elaborated search strategy of national studies using articles, periodicals and dissertations indexed in databases, SciELO, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Results and Discussion: In the analyzed studies it was observed that the data and situations coincide in the majority. Regarding physical therapy resources, the studies show the use of resources that are congruent and consistent with each other, and with the treatment phases to which they are proposed, actually performing and demonstrating an improvement in the patients' clinical status. Conclusion: Through the studies analyzed, one can conclude the proven effectiveness of physiotherapy for the treatment of burns. A complete and effective treatment will require a multidisciplinary team, being the physiotherapist a fundamental part of this treatment. Objetivo: O trabalho teve como objetivo relatar a relevância que é a atuação da fisioterapia diretamente em pacientes que sofreram variados graus de queimaduras. Método: O método adotado para a pesquisa foi uma revisão descritiva dos últimos dez anos (2009-2019), com estratégia de busca elaborada de estudos nacionais utilizando artigos, periódicos e dissertações indexados nas bases de dados, SciELO, PubMed, e Google Acadêmico. Resultados e Discussão: Nos estudos analisados observou-se que os dados e situações coincidem em sua maioria. Quanto aos recursos fisioterapêuticos, os estudos mostram a utilização de recursos congruentes e condizentes uns com os outros, e com as fases de tratamento ao qual se propõem, realizando de fato e comprovadamente melhora no quadro clínico dos pacientes. Conclusão: Através dos estudos analisados, pode-se concluir a eficácia comprovada da fisioterapia para o tratamento dos queimados.
