Preeclampsia (PE) is a complex syndrome, exclusive of the gestational

known, the main neonatal outcomes and the factors related to their occurrence
still need to be completely clarified. Therefore, the aim of this study was to
investigate, through an integrative literature review, the neonatal outcomes in
pregnancies with PE. From January to March, data were searched in the U.S.
National Library of Medicine (PubMed) database using the following descriptors:
"pre-eclampsia" and "preeclampsia" and "neonatal outcomes". The inclusion
criteria were: to evaluate neonatal outcomes in pregnancies with preeclampsia,
and the exclusion criteria were: literature review, pregnancy with preeclampsia
superimposed with chronic hypertension or gestational diabetes mellitus. In this
search 863 scientific articles were initially found. At the end, after analyzing titles,
abstracts and the full text, 15 articles were included, in which it was observed that
mortality, low birth weight, decreased Apgar score and respiratory alterations
were the most frequent outcomes. Moreover, it is noteworthy that these outcomes
would be related to gestational age at the development of PE and to prematurity.
Thus, the knowledge of the risks for the development of these outcomes can
contribute to a better management of pregnant women with PE and their
newborns. |

A pré-eclâmpsia (PE) é uma síndrome complexa, exclusiva do período gestacional, caracterizada por níveis pressóricos elevados e alterações sistêmicas, afetando o desenvolvimento adequado da gestação. A PE está associada a piores desfechos, tanto maternos quanto neonatais, que podem incluir o óbito. Apesar de conhecidos, os principais desfechos neonatais e os fatores relacionados aos seus surgimentos ainda precisam de completo esclarecimento. Nesse sentido, o objetivo desse trabalho foi investigar por meio de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, os desfechos neonatais em gestações com PE. Para tanto, no período de Janeiro a Março foi utilizado a busca de dados na base: Serviço de U.S. National Library of Medicine (PubMed), utilizando os seguintes descritores: “pre-eclampsia” and “preeclampsia” and “neonatal outcomes”. Seguindo os seguintes critérios de inclusão: avaliar os desfechos neonatais em gestações com pré-eclâmpsia, já os critérios de exclusão foram: revisão de literatura, gravidez com pré-eclâmpsia sobreposta com hipertensão crônica ou diabetes mellitus gestacional. Nesta pesquisa foram encontrados inicialmente 863 artigos científicos. Ao final, após análise de títulos, resumos e do texto completo, foram incluídos 15 artigos, nos quais se observou que a mortalidade, o baixo peso ao nascer, o escore de Apgar diminuído e as alterações respiratórias foram os desfechos mais frequentes. Além disso, destaca-se que esses desfechos estariam relacionados à idade gestacional no desenvolvimento da PE e à prematuridade.
