The present study aims to evaluate the behavior of autistic children in the face of the covid-19 pandemic, as well as the possible risks of spreading the disease, using the methods of communication and observation. This is a cross-sectional study, in which 50 individuals of both sexes were evaluated, in social isolation in their respective homes. They were subjected to evaluation through an online survey, using a questionnaire with alternatives. The results show that the study population consisted of 52.0% (n = 26) of male children and 48.0% (n = 24) of female children, of whom 50 were interviewed, only 26.0 % (n = 13) children with autism spectrum, 22.0% (n = 11) male and 4% (n = 2) female. The age group of the sample was from 1 to 18 years old. Through this study, it is concluded that, it is evident that during the COVID-19 pandemic many children are without a normalized routine, which may be suggestive of future behavioral changes and mood swings, whether that child is affected by the spectrum of the autistic disorder.
