Resumo:Interpersonal relationships have been one of the most addressed issues in the area of organizational behavior. The federal university of Rio Grande do Norte, through the “Pró-Reitoria de Gestão de Pessoas” (Pro-Rectory of People Management), held a course on Interpersonal Relations at Work for employees of the institution, with the aim of analyzing issues related to interpersonal relations. Thus, the present research’s goal in to understand the impacts of the course after its accomplishment, analyzing the changes in motivation, the development of competence for leadership, development of the capacity to manage conflicts in the work environment and to know the contribution of emotional intelligence to the interpersonal relationship. The analyzed main data have positive impacts, showing changes in organization behavior. After the training, the theories presented in the course were put into practice. It concludes that training is critical for employees, improving their motivation, interpersonal relationships and learning to manage emotions from emotional intelligence.
