Resumo:The main objective of this work is to verify if the motivational factors of the Maslow pyramid influence the motivation of the professors of the departments of the CCSA of UFRN. The study is characterized as exploratory descriptive, it is also classified as a quantitative research, and the case study was adopted as a research strategy, aiming to analyze the motivation related to the Maslow pyramid with the teachers. Teachers in the CCSA departments totaled 244 teachers, where a total of 71 answers were obtained, representing 29% of the total possible answers. The questionnaire elaborated by the author of the study and with response options based on the Likert scale, with 5 possible answers, "partially agree" or "totally" were considered positive answers, and "partially or totally" disagreed were considered responses negative, the questionnaire counted on 5 questions to elaborate the profile of the respondents, and 20 affirmations on the needs of Maslow. The results at the end were analyzed block by block, and it was found that the teachers have motivation to work to continue to satisfy all the needs pointed out by Maslow, the block of security needs was the one that obtained the least positive answers, and was considered the block where a part of the teachers meet, the block of self-realization was where they had more positive answers, and the block of needs of esteem and social, next to the one of self realization, were considered as satisfied.
