Resumo:There is today the impression of growing techniques for personal management as well as the depleted consumption of social media applications. The purpose of the present work was to outline how the use of social media influences the time management of undergraduate students in Administration of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Aiming at this theme, a survey and bibliographical analysis and field reseach were carried out, which questioned 270 students of the course. The results confirmed the negative perception of the media about the time management by university students. Nevertheless, even those who assume spend more than 4 hours a day surfing the Internet, they are able to accomplish all the planned commitments. Still, most make use of conventional tools, such as the schedule on paper, for the activity management. However, futher study is needed for a better understanding of these influences and effects.
