Resumo:The study evaluated the nutritional profile, consumption, and eating behavior of Brazilian Navy officers and sergeants in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. This is a quantitative cross-sectional study of 53 male military men aged 25 - 50 years. The Three Factor Eating Questionaire Questionnaires - translated and reduced version of 21 items (TFEQ-R21) and the Food Consumption Frequency Questionnaire (QFCA) were used. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 software and descriptive analyzes were performed (mean, standard deviation, percentage) by Student's t-test of independent samples and anthropometric and feeding behavior variables by Pearson correlation and simple linear regression tests. Considering the 95% confidence. 58.5% (n = 31) were cables and 41.5% (n = 22) sergeant. BMI (kg / m²) had a higher prevalence of overweight (58.49%) in the study population. Regarding body fat, it was higher in individuals between 45 - 50 years, mostly sergeants, presenting high risks of diseases associated with obesity. Significant difference was observed between the three dimensions of eating behavior when compared between patents. Although there was no positive correlation between anthropometric data and eating behavior, there was a significant difference when compared to the levels of uncontrolled eating, cognitive restriction and emotional feeding of the cables in relation to the sergeants. Already food consumption was based on fruits, vegetables, sausages and bread. It can be concluded that the anthropometric indices were above average, presenting health risk, but the eating behavior presented can be explained by the context in which the military is inserted and the monotonous food offered in the service, which may favor greater uncontrolled eating. in the environment outside of work.
