Of consumption in one place. Thus, the relationship between consumption and space weaves the neighborhood landscape revealing interests, conflicts and disputes, which is the problematic of this. Thus, we show how the relationship betwenn space and consumption occurs in the landscape configuration in the city space in the referred neighborhood. Methodologically tem streets in the neighborhood were analyzed. The research is anchored in bibliographic searches, observation, description and registration of the study site, interviews with merchants, marketers, passers-by and consumers. Throughout the study, it is evidente that in the neighborhood there is a predominance of shopping streets and that the food segment is strongly presente in the place, even though it is not organized more equally in the main streets studied. O estudo apresenta como temática a paisagem geográfica. A relação entre espaço e consumo se configura presente na construção da paisagem, desta feita, o bairro Alecrim, em Natal-RN, se apresenta como um exemplo dessa relação, contendo em sua trama arranjos que denotam a preponderância da atividade comercial voltada para diversos tipos de consumo em um único local. Assim, a relação entre consumo e espaço tecem a paisagem do bairro revelando interesses, conflitos e disputas, sendo essa a problemática deste. Assim, evidenciamos como se dá a relação entre espaço e consumo na configuração da paisagem no espaço citadino no referido bairro. Metodologicamente foram analisadas dez ruas no bairro. A pesquisa está ancorada em pesquisas bibliográficas, observação, descrição e registro do local estudado, entrevistas com comerciantes, feirantes, transeuntes e consumidores.
