| Resumo: | The IPTU is a tax that behind its discharge, there may be underlying policies that involve the same and in this sense, the guiding question of this work is to make a comparative approach between the IPTU legislation, at the federal level and at the municipal level. And between the comparative approach between these laws regarding the IPTU, focus on the policies underlying the IPTU in Natal / RN and the socio-spatial analysis related to the object. The general objective of the study is to make a comparative approach between the aforementioned legislations, having as specific objectives: to verify the policies underlying the IPTU of Natal / RN; analyze the related socio-spatial profile and contribute to human science, mainly to geography. The study is characterized as qualitative and quantitative research, of simple random sampling, for convenience and non-probabilistic, transversal, being a case study. The research methodological procedures are divided into 3 stages: stage 1 is the work of bibliographic survey and legislative approach, stage 2 refers to the preparation and application of the questionnaire for socio-spatial analysis and stage 3, the analysis of the result applied questionnaire. There was the production of cartographic material and the organization of secondary materials. The work brings conclusions that can be considered under 4 fields: The approach to the IPTU legislation at the federal (Brazil) and Municipal (Natal / RN) levels, the policies underlying the IPTU of Natal / RN, the socio-spatial approach related to the IPTU of Natal / RN and a contribution to human science, mainly to geography. |
