Resumo:Remotely piloted aircraft (ARP) enable real-time and high-accuracy analysis of exposed areas, assisting in mapping and modeling, and allows the measurement of the population at risk in the study area. In this way, the present work aims to evaluate the degree of exposure to flood risk in Passo da Pátria Complex, Natal/RN, from the application of ARP. In order to do this, the primary data were collected by ARP in field work, which later, with the help of Geographic Information System, enabled a flood risk mapping. The study is based on the methodology of (Buffon et al., 2018), being adapted to the local reality. It was concluded that the risk of flooding in the study area is highly characterized, especially in the corridor where the Canal do Baldo is, because it belongs to one of the areas altimetrically low Complex, but also other areas are also in risk of flooding. The methodology can serve as an important aid to risk areas, due to its low cost, detail and efficiency to the aid of disaster prevention decisions from floods.
