Resumo:This research investigates how to define the animation publicity in the health industry, materialized in four advertising films of the medicine called Epocler, which are carried out by the character Figueredo, entitled Epocler “Nausea”, “Discomfort”, “Samurai” and “Super Figueredo”. Taking Content Analysis (BARDIN, 2010) into consideration, it was identified the main health advertisers, characterized the lively animation technique, identified the contents covered, the use of language figures, textual and childish elements. Chronologically it was discussed the main rules related to drug advertising and identified the list of all elements presented through a case study, revealing who this Figueredo is. Finally, it was identified that the way in which health advertising has been produced endangers the health of citizens, who are little aware of health legislation as well as drug advertising. Thus, ethics and awareness are the most viable alternatives for changing the system, starting mainly from those who produce the advertising, the advertisers.
