O ensino da geologia na educação infantil: estudo da introdução às geociências por meio do livro “A grandiosa história de um grão de areia”
description The present work aims to put into practice actions that enable the popularization of geosciences and especially the formation of a geological knowledge base since youth. In two researches made using the Google Forms platform, using questionnaires answered remotely, It was possible to verify, in the first survey, that of the 138 interviewees about 56% of the respondents, among undergraduate, graduate and geosciences professionals, had their first contact with Geology itself as science during the period of high school, age between 14 and 17 years. In a second survey conducted with course coordinators, professors and students representing of 32 educational institutions that offer the Geology course in Brazil, 19 institutions participated in responding to the research, of which it is observed that only 4 of the 18 projects developed by these universities have as a target audience students of basic education. Taking into account the results obtained in the research, it is more evident the need to complement the teaching of geology in basic education and based on the concepts of "Significant Education", where we seek through the association of known concepts and use of the medium for learning new information. The present work studies the book "The great history of a grain of sand" , which has the role of introducing basic geological processes in a playful way to a target audience of six to ten years of age, which comprises elementary school I. The book not only uses an accessible language, but also makes use of everyday situations and figures that can relate to a large part of the population. Based on the analysis of the book, it is considered that this device has an effective role in the introduction to geosciences, also can be used as a didactic tool and serve as a support material for conventional teaching.

O presente trabalho traz a preocupação em colocar em prática ações que possibilitem à popularização das geociências e principalmente a formação de uma base de conhecimento geológico desde a juventude. Em duas pesquisas feitas por meio da plataforma Google Forms, utilizando questionários respondidos de maneira remota, foi possível constatar, na primeira pesquisa, que dos 138 entrevistados cerca de 56% dos respondentes, dentre alunos de graduação, pós-graduação e profissionais da área das Geociências, tiveram seu primeiro contato com Geologia em si durante o período do ensino médio, faixa etária entre 14 a 17 anos. Em uma segunda pesquisa realizada com coordenadores de curso, docentes e alunos representantes de 32 instituições de ensino que ofertam o curso de Geologia no Brasil, 19 instituições participaram respondendo a pesquisa, destas, observa-se que apenas 04 das 18 ações desenvolvidas pelas universidades tem como público alvo alunos da educação básica. Levando-se em consideração os resultados obtidos nas pesquisas, fica mais evidente a necessidade de complementação do ensino da geologia na educação básica e tendo como fundamentação os conceitos de “Educação Significativa”, onde buscamos por meio de associação de conceitos conhecidos e utilização do meio para o aprendizado de novas informações, o presente trabalho estuda o livro “A grandiosa história de um grão de areia”, que tem o papel de introduzir processos geológicos básicos de uma maneira lúdica à um público-alvo de seis a dez anos de idade, que compreende o ensino fundamental I. O livro não só se utiliza de uma linguagem acessível, como também faz uso de situações cotidianas e figuras que podem se relacionar com boa parte da população.
