Resumo:This RGG consists of a study on the application of the eletroresistivity (multichannel system) method in a groundwater problem in the city of Santa Cruz / RN. For the purpose of comparison with acquisition systems the single-channel data, two sections of apparent resistivity (Wenner and Schlumberger electrode arrangements) were acquired as the resiscimeter Syscal Pro 72. The results obtained allowed to identify three resistive horizons related to a clay- sandy, native soil and with the non-fractured lens. The interpretation of these horizons allowed corroborating previous studies, evidencing that the structure that controls the accumulation of water in the place is of the eluvial-alluvial track type. Additionally, from the operational point of view, the acquisition of data with the multichannel system proved to be more efficient, reducing the acquisition time and offering data with better lateral resolution.
