Resumo: | The Instituto Metrópole Digital (IMD) of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) offer a bachelor degree in Information Technology (BTI) that is an interdisciplinarity undergraduate course. This type of higher education is characterized by flexibility of curricular organization. Nowadays, there are six emphases where five are specific and one is general and the students can choose one of those. In this context, several problems arise for the course managers, such as the need to identify the most sought-after emphases in order to plan the supply of curricular components for the next semester in order to maximize the flow of students over the course. This work investigates the conception and development process of a data visualization tool to support decision making in this scenario. This tool assists the BTI course managers to realize how the course students choose curricular components relate to specific emphases. |
