The presence of low back pain, pelvic girdle and lower member are related to depression/anxiety during pregnancy. Objective: Verify the relationship between the presence of pain during pregnancy with postpartum depressive symptoms in adolescents and adults. Methodology: Observational study with analytical cross-section, conducted with 86 pregnant women, 42 adolescents (13-18 years) and 44 adults (23-28 years) residing in Região do Trairi. The assessment of pelvic pain was evaluate using the Pelvic Pain Assessment Questionnaire and, for screening for depressive symptoms in the puerperium, the Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale (EPDS). The relationships between the variables were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney and Kuskal-Wallis tests. Linear regression analysis evaluated the relationship between the presence of pain and the score obtained on the EPDS, adjusted for education, marital status, income and ARS. Results: The group of adolescents who presented “deep pain during the sexual act” (p-value: 0,031), “pelvic pain after sexual act that it is prolong for hours/days” (p-value: 0,042), “muscular/joins pain” (p-value: 0,013) and “pain after sit” (p-value: 0,030), got higher score in EPDS scale, in compare with those which did not report any pain. The relationship between pain and depressive symptomatology was not significant for the adults. Conclusion: Pain is related to the presence of depressive symptoms in the puerperal period in adolescents.

A presença de dor lombar, cintura pélvica e membro inferior se relacionam a depressão/ansiedade na gestação. Objetivo: Verificar a relação entre a presença de dor durante a gestação com a sintomatologia depressiva no pós-parto em adolescentes e adultas. Metodologia: Estudo transversal analítico, realizado com 86 gestantes, 42 adolescentes (13-18 anos) e 44 adultas (23-28 anos) residentes na Região do Trairi. A avaliação da dor pélvica foi realizada através do Questionário para Avaliação de Dor Pélvica e, para rastreio dos sintomas depressivos no puerpério, a Escala de Depressão Pós-Parto de Edimburgo (EPDS). As relações entre as variáveis foram analisas pelos testes de Mann-Whitney e Kuskal-Wallis. A análise de regressão linear avaliou a relação entre a presença de dor e o escore obtido na EPDS, ajustada por escolaridade, estado civil, renda e ARS. Resultados: O grupo das adolescentes que apresentaram “dor profunda durante o ato sexual” (p-valor: 0,031), “dor pélvica após o ato sexual que dura horas/dias” (p-valor: 0,042), “dor muscular/articular” (p-valor: 0,013) e “dor ao sentar-se (p-valor: 0,030), obtiveram maiores pontuações na EPDS, quando comparadas àquelas que não relataram dor. A relação entre a dor e a sintomatologia depressiva não foi significativa para o grupo de adultas.
