Method: We evaluated 19 individuals with a mean age of 61.2 ± 13.0 years, mean injury time 45.05 ± 42.99 years and male predominance. The MEEM, MoCA, PCL and TOM scales were applied. Data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation with p-value <0.05. Results: A positive and statistically significant correlation was observed between the MEEM and MoCA scales (r = 0.78), MEEM and PCL (r = 0.49). There was no correlation between the cognition scales and mind theory. Conclusion: These values suggest that scales are able to provide the degree of cognitive impairment of the individual proportionally. The choice of scale applied in clinical practice will depend on the therapist's goal and the available resources RESUMO: Objetivo: Analisar a correlação entre o uso de escalas para avaliação da cognição: Mini Mental State (MEEM), Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) e Prueba Cognitiva de Leganés (PCL) e a correlação com a teoria da mente através da Battery Of Mind Theory Tasks (TOM) em pacientes pós-acidente vascular cerebral (AVC). Método: Foram avaliados 19 indivíduos com idade média de 61,2 ±13,0 anos, tempo médio de lesão 45,05 ±42,99 anos e predominância do sexo masculino. Foram aplicadas as escalas MEEM, MoCA, PCL e TOM. Os dados foram analisados pela correlação de Pearson com o p-valor <0,05. Resultados: Uma correlação positiva e estatisticamente significativa foi observada entre as escalas MEEM e MoCA (r=0,78), MEEM e PCL (r=0.49). Não houve correlação entre as escalas de cognição e a teoria da mente. Conclusão: Estes valores sugerem que as escalas são capazes de fornecer o grau de comprometimento cognitivo do indivíduo de forma proporcional.
